Joining a Group with a PIN

Tok-Tok allows users to join a group using a PIN. The organisation may choose to send the PIN to the user in various ways such as an SMS, a Tok-Tok message or even verbally.

GETTING STARTED

If you have not yet installed the Tok-Tok! app, go to http://tok-tok.me. Tap the respective app store badge (iOS or Android) to install Tok-Tok! on your iPhone or Android phone. Upon installation, Tok-Tok! will guide you to register and verify your mobile number.

STEP 1

  • Launch the Tok-Tok! app on your phone.
  • Tap the menu button () at the top left of the screen.
  • Tap "Enter PIN".

STEP 2

  • Enter the PIN provided by the organisation (e.g SJDGWNJ).
  • Tap “Next” at the top right corner of the screen.

STEP 3

A screen will be displayed showing which organisation and / or group you will be joining. Below this information you will see 2 fields:

  1. Group Display Name:

    If required by your organisation, you may edit your Group Display Name to identify yourself in this group (e.g Team Leader).

    Enter a name as suggested by your organisation.

    Your registered name will be displayed if you choose to leave this field blank.

  2. Additional Info:

    Provide optional additional information about yourself if requested by the organisation, otherwise you may leave this field blank.

    When done, tap "Submit" at the top right corner of the screen (or tap the “Submit” button below the Additional Info field in the Android version).

STEP 4

A pop-up message will show that your request has been submitted. Tap “OK”. Once the organisation has approved of your request, you will receive a notification. You will also be added to the group.

CHECKING THE STATUS OF YOUR REQUEST

  • Tap the menu button ( ) at the top left corner of the screen
  • Tap “My Requests” to view the status of your request.
